The orcs have decided to fight back. It seemed thay were quite happy to grant cancellations a while back but then i think someone figured out how to switch on a calculator and realized that it might not be such a good idea.

Their latest weapon is to simply ignore customers, commonly known as "Busy Orc Syndrome (BOS)"

They just wont cancel. I used Rodents template, I even quoted the ASA findings...they wont budge. Im buggered if they dont, I already got HomeDSL 192 (which rocks BTW!!!!!)

This was my last e-mail...

To: 'Potgieter, Michelle'
CC: 'Radebe, Portia'; 'Smith, Winston'; 'Cassidy Casper'; 'Theron Ken'; 'Chief Executive Officer'

Ladies and gentleman,

This situation is now becoming ridiculous. NOBODY IS COMMUNICATING WITH ME! Your organization is absolutely pathetic. Dr Potgieter, I suggest you actually check with your staff on a daily basis if they have carried out what they say they will. Mr Cassidy is clearly too busy to deal with petty customers.

Allow me to clarify this situation:

1.. together with 5 other Sentech My Wireless Customers, I lodged a complaint to the Adverting Standards Authority about misleading and dishonest advertising which lead me to believe I was subscribing to a service which would satisfy my internet connectivity needs. This findings of the ASA is attached.
2.. The ASA has since deemed the usage of numerous words and phrases to have mislead the general South African public based on the actual servivce being offered. Fact. See attached ASA findings.
3.. I have been subjected to a financial administrative department that could see a primary school class do a better job. Fact. check with Adele Mannel and Portia Radebe.
4.. I have requested a cancellation to which i have received only one response in which an additional amount of money is being charged to me, despite the fact that I have already paid for 12 months of this pathetic, useless and downright crap service which is now excessively priced when compared to ADSL.
Either cancel my contract, drop the fees or offer me considerably better service with a guarantee. But please do something.

I will be sending the entire e-mail thread of all communications I have had with Sentech to as many journalists as possible if I do not have a worthy response within 24 hours.

Now, if they continue to refuse to cancel, I will have keep both. what a waste.

clinton smith, is the guy at customer services, that needs to be spoken to.
ultimately, from what I can gather, and memory of my cancellation, it seems he is the one with the power of cancellation.
note, I cancelled quite recently, they gave me a lot of fuss, until I got thru the orc firewall to clinton.

Why dont you block the debit order and when they decide to take "action" against you , then you engage. You should not allow this to happen to you mate...Companies are no longer at liberty to list people at will , so they wont run to list you.

Speak to Clinton

I agree with prvious posting, there are two guys Clinton and a person who works in his office (his name escapes me). They are both very helpfull and seem to be the only two that has the authority to stop the billing.

Dial 011 691 7000 but do not leave a message if he is not in the office, it will dissapear into the void of unanswered messages.

Hope this helps

Andre
