Has to be the most important news so far on whether or not the US is creating Jobs. Although 100k is expected to be lost a worse number will send markets in a dive and retest key support levels. A better number will see the markets heading towards new highs.

Are you a bear or a bull?

Use jobs data out at 2:30pm

U.S. jobs data out at 2:30pm

I'm a 'bear' if the markets are high & can't afford to buy into them, and a 'bull' if they're low enough to buy into. - problem is knowing when they've reached new lows, or highs for that matter.

Every month the U.S. Jobs nos. get (marginally) worse but speculators should always keep them from collapsing, unless there's another housing market bubble, this time in China which is a very real possibility.

The number comes out monthly, so it's not the key factor of a lifetime. But it'll be volatile tomorrow afternoon and could set the mood for the next couple of days. Dow still has a longish way to go for new highs... I'm slightly bullish, expectations are lower than last month's..

How about that 3Par battle between Dell & HP. From $9 a share to $33.

Insane!!!

Personally I am shorting the S&P tomorrow with a stop at 1109 just in case

Of the last couple of months only July and August had job losses, while April, May and June they actually managed to create more jobs.

True, but don't think they'll openly admit (the US Govt.) that jobs were created solely by pumping billions of $'s into public-works programmes. Their huge worry & concerns are that private, especially smaller Co's are not employing, as they're not getting the needed finances to expand operations from the big banks. I'm no economist, but just going by what I've heard on CNBC over the last few months.

HP is paying a huge premium, think they over-payed a bit. Last I saw both Dell and HP were bidding at 1.8B$ and now I see HP got them for 2.3B$. Well we'll see how it works out for them.

S&P couldnt break the 1105 resistance. This leaves it in a downward slopping channel.

Until the is broken I will remain Bearish on stocks.

looks liek profit taking before the close of today.

Good luck to anyone holding positions over the weekend...
