The Banhammer has smacked me even though I don't play?

Ok I bought Guild Wars a few years ago and played for probably 20 minutes and then left it and decided to rather play World of Warcraft again. Today I wanted to give Guild Wars a go so I installed it again. When I tried to log in I get a error Code=045 and after a quick search I find out I have a permanent ban? :wtf:

I sent off an email to their support to find out what is going on. I am wondering what happened since I didn't even use the account for more than 20 minutes.
 
I might need to see if my account is still acive! Could be that someone hacked your account or they ban you if you are not logging on regularly ?
 
I don't think they ban you for not playing regularly. I've had GW for a couple of years and have been playing it on and off and haven't been banned.

The most likely explanation is that the account has been hacked. Best option is to try to contact Arenanet or NCSoft support.
 
There is a notification when you log in with a character

"Over 37,000 accounts have been banned due to botting/exploitations. Please check GW support for more details"

EDIT: Endev8003 has the solution :o
