Hi,

I'm currently with Axxess for about 2 months and had nothing but excellent service...........I see now that WebAfrica and ImagiNet are cheaper with the same accounts however.

Are they good for it, or should I stick with Axxess? Anyone tested them for some time???

Appreciated!

I'll stick to axxess thanx. Sooner or later you gotta settle down, otherwise youre gonna continue hopping from one provider to the other as the pricing is going to change all the time.

i would stick with axxess you may save money but you wont get the service i dont think

axxess are just amazing when its comes to looking after you

but if you looking for something cheaper those 2 companies are also excellent

I am with WA and I have to say I am pretty sure the service they provide is just as good if not better than AXXESS. Think about it, 2 months to go before Nov. I would stick with my ISP till then. I don't like hopping between ISP's. Let things settle first after the 1st Nov. I can assure you if you think of changing then WA would be a good choice but wait and see what happens first.

Killdoob, Are you not with the AYCE guys anymore? What is AYCE going to do from the 1st of November? Shouldn't they continue to provide 30Gbs for the guys that went for their 1 year contract?

I've used both Axxess & Web Africa. I'm currently with Web Africa, based on price, and the Client Service Area on their website is pretty impressive. Both offer very good customer support.

As for hopping between ISP's, it's such a simple process these days, I'm quite happy to change as is necessary.

The fact that WA take Credit Cards was a big factor for me. Don't have a fax machine and I am way too lazy to go look for a postnet to fax a debit order. :)

WA service and sign up is excellent and completely painless, plus for now they are much cheaper. It’s a no brainer unless you do not mind paying more for the next couple of months, well probably only 1 month (Oct) as your debit order has probably already been processed for September.
Who knows what will happen after 1 November but I believe that WA will continue to be the cheapest or at least extremely competitive.
I looks like we should start getting some clarity on new pricing in the next couple of weeks.

I've been out of sync with the ADSL stuff happening the last 2-3 months, can anyone please tel me what's hapening on the 1st of Nov? thanks!

Telkom are switching to a per gig billing system. The 30GB accounts will jump from around R300 to +-R2000. I hope ICASA can jump in because nobody ca afford that.

Think the per gig price was around R60

WHAT!!!!!!!!

That's rediculous!!!! Just as soon as progress is shown by SA internet due to companies like e.g. Axxess, etc. and ICASA manage to control Telkom a bit bu letting them drop their prices, this happens!

I cannot believe that ICASA will or can let them get away with it!

Outrageous!

Both webafrica and axxess very good... I was going to go with axxess but then WA shocked us with there 30gb/R199 so i went with them. Am very very happy with them, signup was easy as posting in this forum. I dont like axxess "fax" system to signup

I scanned and emailed the application form to them. You don't have to fax it.

My colleague and I were doing too much p2p on the ADSL line here at work over the past weekend :o , had to get a 3Gig account very quickly (that we payed for of course!) to avoid getting capped on the 30 Gig account during the last 2 days of the month and to avoid getting in the deepest sh&t with the boss. After sending the email request, we were online within 15 minutes with WA. Sigh of relief...

I'm with Imaginet and so far they have been really good. I think Imaginet is a stable company because they have have been around for quite a while. I'm also confident that when the new pricing comes out they will provide it at the best price they possibly can. To organise my debit order all I had to do was give them the account number and everything was sorted.

Yes both axxess or WA would be excellent choices.
They offer the excact same SAIX product and their customer service is top notch.
I am with WA at the moment because they are the cheapest.

I have been with imaginet for 3 years (isdn).
Recently got adsl,
Order a adsl in minutes 1 day before installation date, only to phone them back the next day to ask if they don't mind suspending it, because telkom did not install the line when they said they would (1 month later).
When they did they come to install my line it took 1 e-mail and it was activate again.

Recently had problems on my exchange the modem would synch but would not hold or make a internet connection, imaginet supplied me logs showing that the adsl port was the cause of the problems, after telkom tried telling me it was my modem.

I give a imaginet a big thumbs up.
