As you guys/ladies know that Cell C plans to launch (4G) UMTS/WCDMA on 900Mhz instead of the present 2.1Ghz used by Vodacom and MTN. It is fact that 900Mhz will have a larger RF footprint than 2.1Ghz etc.
My question to Vodacom and other experts is as follow; Will the imbedded HP Probook 4520s modem which has been identified as "HP un 24020 Mobile Broadband Module" with the following Tech Spec
Technology/Operating:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 85OMHz(Cell), 900MHz(EGSM), 1 800MHz(DCS), 1 900MHz (PCS).
Bands: UMTS/WCDMA with receive diversity: 2100MHz (UTRA FDD Band I), 1900MHz (UTRA FDD Band II), 900MHz (UTRA FDD Band VIII), 850MHz (UTRA FDD Band V) 1xEVDO/1xRTT with receive diversity: 850MHz (Band ClassO-Cell), 1900MHz (Band Classl-PCS)
Wireless Protocol: GSM/GPRS/EDGE: Class B, Multi-slot operation, coding schemes CS1 - CS4 and MSC1 - MSC9.
Standards: UMTS/WCDMA: Release 99 and Release 6 CDMA: 1 xEVDO Release 0 and Release A, IS-95A, IS-95B, IS-2000
been compatible on 900Mhz UMTS/WCDMA service?
Thanks inadvance.
