Seems that sport climbing is no longer for me - injured the ligaments in my left shoulder .. Second time I injured my left shoulder - last time was about 2 years ago - exactly the same kind of injury.

Any idea if I can go and see a biokineticist - to identify the root cause of me injuring the same shoulder ?

Now it's no climbing for at least 6 weeks :(

Luckily I can continue with my new swimming program

I injured my shoulder in the gym. Went to the fisio and GP. They both suspect it to be my bicep tendon (the ligament that attaches your bicep to your shoulder). I'm now going to see the orthopedist on Monday... I think it's better to start with the expert (orthopedist) and then let he refer you to either the fisio or bio.

Good luck though!

The GP has no musculoskeletal training, especially when it concerns orthopedics. I am a chiropractor, and can recommend either a chiropractor, or a physiotherapist for an initial consultation. After treatment (if it falls within our scope of practice), and only once you are pain free we can then refer you to a biokineticist (if strengthening rehabilitation is required), an orthopedic surgeon (if surgery is required and your condition cannot be treated conservatively).

I have a sharp pain in my right shoulder just near my collar bone :(
