Why is my service just getting worse?

I ordered ADS........ I'm not going to finish that sentence I will just get upset!
I finaly got ADSL "384" on the 4th of August.

I was told that I was too far from the exchange and that I must downgrade to 192 which I dont want to do because get speeds of roughly 256kbs on a "good day". I still pay for 384 :(

Anyway. I'm on a 30Gb WebAfrica job but I have been experiencing very few "good days". I get erratic speed results and get disconnected for game servers almost every 5-10 minutes.

Is this common?

Yes. I am unable to stream audio on my SAIX account.

Even though IS is more expensive, I can stream via them on my ADSL (same time of the day, same site). BUT!! you cannot game on IS as the pings are upwards of 1500ms
 
What account do you have, Moederloos ?

I've had no problems - on the 384, but getting 512 (telkom f@cked up in the right way for a change) - can stream audio perfectly. Video depends on the feed. Getting http/ftp speeds of around 52k
Haven't done much online gaming, but when I was last using SGS, my pings were around 40ms

It must be exchange related ?

Don't downgrade cobuss, no matter what they say. It's almost certain they'll stuff up your billing and you'll still get charged for 384.
