x10 has low res 240x320 2.5" screen. My 3 year old nokia6120 has the same res @ 2". On a touch screen phone especially, the Screen is vitally important to the experience.

The LG does better with a 320x480 screen, but only has 256k colours.

You want Android? Believe me, you dont want a phone stuck on version 1.6 . With the speed boosts of 2.2 and 2.2 , and talk of v3.0 soon to be released (October!). I'd say save the cash, wait till Android matures, and get a better phone. Don't get it just for the sake of having it.

If you really want one, read some more reviews (which you've clearly done enough of), and base your decision on a purely Cost vs Needs analysis. That way you wont spend too much on a new phone, which is already outdated by today's standards.

why not just update the os :) when it gets released? I dont want something thats got a huge screen and does full hd recording and photography , thats what i have a DSLR camera for and does a way better job. also the need to watch full hd things on a mobile is a bit far fectched as i didnt enjoy it at all when i saw it on the iphone4 (need 23"-108" screens to enjoy it imo.)

atm the x10mini pro is hitting the sweet spot for experimenting with android. since its got the keyboard and the os  (even though sony erricson are a bit late with the updates , im sure they are just trying to improve it a little OR they are just lazy bastards.)

Edit : im just going to wait for sony erricson to release the updates first then ill decide. thanks for the info though

The updates should be out by end of October. Waiting for the 2.1 update for a while now. Hope it updates the X10 mini's Bluetooth functionality.
