ATi and Nvidia should rather compete on who can make the best card cheaply, instead of whos can outperform the other. How many gamers can afford R5000 cards?not many....

you can by 3 ps2's for the same price as a 7800gtx, freakin ludicri$$

From what I gather only the X1800 (32 pipes) will be able to outperform the 7800GTX and probably not by that much. ATI are going to have to price aggressively if they hope to win back market share.

Yeah I read that too. Thought they were releasing a 32 pipe model as the top end card. 16 pipes definitely doesn't bode well for ATI, I'm really interested to see the benchmarks!
