Can any body give advice on the Telkom wireless modem?

looking at the thing but telkom cant give advice on whether i will be able to fly by wire through 2 walls and down about 8 stairs??
anyone got any advice?
 
Afaik somebody mentioned on this forum that this router is actually a Billion in disguise and not the previous crappy Marconi.

It should work.
