Skype have already turned down an offer from Rupert Murdoch for 3 Billion $!

Tim Draper, who is the Venture Capitalist behind Skype has said he thinks Skype will be worth 50 Billion soon. This may seem like a stretch of his imagination, but remember Draper was the guy behind Hotmail being sold to Microsoft for 500 million $. He dragged that sale out until he got his asking price.

Skype now have the critical mass and upwards of 50 million users. No other company has this, and it will take a major effort to knock Skype off their pedastool!

They will need to not only pay for the product, but for the name and for the customers. Its goodwill for those who understand accounting.
I.E they gonna have to offer more than $3billion much more.
