Who in his right mind will buy an iPad (who knows)when it's finally released in ZA?

in 3/4 months after it's released here there will be a new version.
 
and there are also quiet a few other brands coming into the market.

im really excited about the Pixel Qi tablet to be released.
 
The only way I'll actually buy one is if I go to Hong Kong - everywhere else is stupidly overpriced.
 
I &^%&%&* LOVE my iPAD ... will replace it without even thinking twice if I lose it. iPAD screen size is perfect IMO, ... Galaxy and PlayBook screens are just too small.
 
Just another prediction from my side but i don't think any other product will be able to compete with ipad. Android might come close but these "playbook" devices are not gonna be as smooth advertised.
 
A friend got one for my grandpa while in the US. Cost $550 = R3850. Totally worth it. ;)

The new generation will probably have 512mb RAM, and a front facing camera. Not that big a deal for me.
 
I am really enjoying my ipad 64gb 3g+wifi .

got it on the cheap as well - which makes it even better.

Supposedly they will be released some time in October....

Reason why i will buy one is that i am not looking for a machine with uber functionality, i want someting that can lie on my coffee table and i can surf the net, social network, check out the news, online banking, play a game or two, check the weather etc from on a screen that is more effecient than my phone....

Most importantly, i can update my Premier League Fantasy league side from the comfort of my couch...

If i need to do the other stuff i have an iMac and a high end PC to use....

Thats why i will buy one....

Ditto. Fills a nice "leisure gap" between pc/netbook/smart phone. Which is exactly why I'll be getting one (OK, the lure of new smart tech is also irresistible :p).
 
I have an HP1100c (i think) tablet PC which i use if i am to lazy to go to the PC.. it works buts its become very outdated....

So the iPad will be the perfect gap filler :)
 
i bought one yesterday, played with some other android devices and mean... come on
