WANTED - Cheap Laptop CD-Drive

Have an Acer Travelmate 202T that I want to get rid of for R1500 to R2000

Problem :- The CD Drive is stuffed.

Nobody will take a laptop with a stuffed CD Drive, it's fairly pointless.

I cannot find, for love nor money, anywhere that has an old laptop drive that would be compatible with this laptop.

Anyone have anything spare ? - someone who lives in the Johannesburg area.
It doesn't have to be anything more than a bog-standard CD drive.

The link refers to hits for ACER, have a look might find what you want for cheap (comes out of Singapore, quoted in ZAR) I maxed my RAM and got a used thinkpad battery for less than half the price of local charges.

I Googled (http://tinyurl.com/h7z2e) (tinyurl.com redirect to elgooG) for "old +laptop +spares" and stumbled across this rather long-in-the-tooth thread - and nearly lost my mind :o at the range and prices offered on that site, DAMN but the value for money this site promises..

..and therein lies the rub: besides this one vote for 'em from st3ve here, is there any more feedback for/against them?
