Blackberry Torch Is now available at all MTN stores

This is a joke. I phoned a few MTN stores and no-one has any stock. The MTN Service Centre at Century City doesn't even have it on their stock list yet.

False advertising I say. I've made a lot of calls and I'm sure there a hundreds of people who also made a lot of calls to MTN stores to find out if they have stock. This way MTN makes even more money because everyone use their cellphones to phone the MTN stores just to hear that the Blackberry Torch that "is available at all stores" are not available.

This just mighth be true.

I can't respond for 48 hours to see whether they will retract all of their false advertising and apologise to customers.
 
This is BS vodacom get exclusive rights first well MTN comes last on the table and CELLC even last....

Come on seriously I am craving to get my hands on the new blackberry curv immediately now - I phoned MTN direct and they advised me in of the month its ridiculous their brochures even say its launched. Maybe we should take them to ASA :p
 
What MTN BB contract would I get the Torch free on?

I think Vodacom is BB Talk 100 at R349.00pm
 
Yea I just want the phone ;)

I know it's silly, but I love my gadgets.

So R349.00 is still better

Better than Vodacom deal. Vodacom is 100minutes, MTN is R200 that you can use for anything.

R200.00 / 2.30 per minute gives you 86 minutes talk time.

You could have gotten the BB 9800 on Vodacom Talk 130 (130 minutes anytime any national network) + BIS & CLIP = R383.50 pm

I did a upgrade, it's not a new contract. I wan't planning to wait another 6 months and then to port to Vodacom. I had a Anytime 350 package and accumulated over R1000 of airtime that I didn't use up. That is why I migrated to the Anytime 200 package.

I cannot wait to play with the torch ordered from MTN direct :) Hope its a fantastic phone sick and tired of the negative reviews... Once people hold the torch they will want to crave the handset immediately.

That's what happened to me. I was trying to figure out which to get, Bold2 or Torch. I went to a Cellphone shop where the BB rep was at that time. He showed me the Torch, I only played with it for like 2minutes and I made up my mind just there. Two days later I got my Torch from Head Office.
