They're all telling me they hate Skype and they're telling me that they want to do something about Skype," says Verio CEO Monty Bannerman in a telephone interview with the Inquirer. "If you have something in your network that is costing you money and raiding your business model, I assure you you're going to do something about it." Bannerman insists that Skype is different from Vonage; arguing the latter should not be blocked.

Figuring how to measure and block Skype has been a significant challenge, since the application has been difficult to measure. Verso has spent over a year and four engineering attempts to develop a platform capable of detecting, managing, and controlling Skype. "We are better than anyone else at this moment in time in detecting Skype and doing something with it, including turning it off."

This Oak is going to loose. Skype would conteract. There is millions of Skype and other free BSD engineers and aplications. This company is wasting its money by far@ing in Katrina with the hope of reducing the damage. May he fail and I hope he pays me to visit him to witness his dimise
