Description:
The Company requires senior security analyst to manage and maintain the Company’s network infrastructure. This is an on-going project which forms part of the Company’s Information Technology operations programme.
2.2. Project
The Security Engineer will focus on operational security issues that include:
2.2.1. Ensuring compliance to security standards on all Cisco and Windows platforms;
2.2.2. Providing support to Infrastructure projects that require security solutions;
2.2.3. Participating in developing an Infrastructure security architecture and strategy will also form part of the responsibilities.
2.2.4. He/she will ensure compliance to security standards on Cisco and Windows devices.
2.2.5. Carry out ad hoc audits to ensure effective compliance to the relevant security standards.
2.2.6. To implement security products identified for use within the organisation.
2.2.7. To participate in developing an infrastructure security architecture in the Windows and network space through effective risk assessment methodologies and research.
2.3. Skills Requirements
The Enterprise Security Analyst will be part of the team that manage, maintain and support the
COMPANY IT infrastructure in conjunction with other system administrators, database administrators and system maintenance personnel at the COMPANY. It is therefore crucial that the proposed candidate have the following;
2.3.1. Deep skills and experience in Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications.
MCSE/MCSA Windows 2000/2003/2008 certification is advantageous;
2.3.2. It is further recommended that the candidate should have experience in
Troubleshooting and problem solving technical issues;
2.3.3. CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional) or GIAC (Global Information
Assurance Certification)
2.3.4. 2 years security experience.
2.3.5. Microsoft, Cisco and Linux knowledge
2.3.6. Deep skills and experience in designing and supporting of Microsoft networks;
2.3.7. Certifications;
2.3.8. Good documentation skills.
2.4. Technical Skills requirements
In addition to the above skills experience, it will be advantageous for business analysts to also have the following technical skills:
