Autopage, MTEL, MTNSP You are all useless

I want the new Apple Iphone 4G and have spent the whole morning on the phone trying to find out how to get one. Everytime I call either of these pathetic companies i get cut off..... or told that they not trained on the IPHONE so phone somewhere else (MTNSP Fourways)

How do companies like this stay in business....?? How do people actually keep their jobs?!?

I will stick to BB and Vodacom (who suck just as bad) -at least there I can actually talk to somebody!

No wonder they couldn't help you, there is no such thing as an iPhone 4G.

*If you want a new phone, go to a Vodashop or MTNShop, they have all the different tariffs. etc. Much better than trying to get it done over the phone.

Phone an iStore? Its the place to get everything Apple!

Someone I know upgraded their contract to get the iPhone4. And there begins the story:

At first it was good and pure and otherwise annoying (there is only so much showing off an open-minded dessert enthusiast can take). He was happy and proud of the new toy that had now become part of the collection fruity products he owns.
Then the woes started: The provider (not one from the thread title) somehow managed to unRICA the uSIM for the iPhone 4. For a few days he walked around like a drug dealer, carrying 2 iPhones (3 and 4). After nearly a week of verbal and physical to-and-fro with the company, the result was that neither phone worked -- The atomic cloud was visible for miles, and many expletives were used. Somehow, the uSIM number had also vanished from all systems at the provider and the old SIM was deactivated.
The regrets of not chopping up the SIM from the iPhone 3 to use on the new shiny iPhone 4, were clear.

Many harsh words later, a new uSIM was obtained and he is now happy again.

So, good luck and if you eventually get your new-fandangled fruity toy, hope somebody else doesn't make it an expensive iPod
