Blackberrry vodacom to mtn

i dont get edge or gprs coverage at my using my blackberry on vodacom. so im going to get a new mtn sim card and use it on my vodafone branded blackberry. i would like to know if my Blackberry pin will work after this change( BBM pin)? does it belong to vodacom? do i have to get it released ?
 
You probably will have to get it released. Something sound a bit amiss though. If you have a signal you should at least have GPRS.

Not at all. Activate BIS on your MTN SIM and swap. It's all I did and it works fine! However, it is always recommended that you do an offline backup to your PC and an online backup when switching SIMs.
 
i nw have GPRS signal after doing a sim swap and was told that my BIS subscription is not completly effective( another vodacom story)...i'll soon be getting a mtn sim. goodbye vodacom!
 
You should at least be able to surf now albeit sloooowly
 
i can surf but all applications that want to connect cant( even the blackberry apps), i think somethings wrong with my APN settings but vodacom wernt even smart enough to figure it out...
