you realise that the service downloads using "their" internet onto "their" virtual server.... so there is zero traffic over YOUR internet...

unless of course you are downloading FROM your virtual server

I mean, of course its gonna be slow while you pulling stuff down... that makes perfect sense!

It's almost too good to sig. But yeah gais these torrents totally slow down my internet all the time too, and wow lags like crazy while I run th- I'm sorry he probably genuinely doesn't know better and I apologize for making any fun.
 
While I disagree with using these services to bypass shaping rules, blaaislaai that is one of the silliest things I have even heard. The service isn't even running on your computer till you tell it to.

So you dont see any problem with someone paying for 4Mbps uncapped and then downloading at 512k speeds? Coz thats what you saying....

I bet if you were paying telkom for a 4Mbps line and it was syncing at 512k you would be on their heads... its the same concept

I am saying that if I want 4Mb at all times on bulk download services then I should pay for an appropriate account. The MWEB account I have goes 4Mb from midnight to early morning on shaped services and 4Mb all the time on other stuff. I happily do about 225GB on average a month and scheduling my downloads for early morning means that none of my other services are impacted while I am awake.

The reality is that I now download more movies and TV series(aka Linux distro's) than I can reasonably watch a day.

I normally average 100GB a month, but the thing is I cant download while Im home coz I play online games... and when I DO eventually go to sleep my PC keeps me awake if I download. So I have little choice but to download during the day (from my vps) while Im at the office...

Though I do understand what you trying to say
 
I cancelled mine but only because Mweb warned us against the service.
As for the company? Awesome service and awesome product but I dont want to get knocked off Mweb due to violations of the rules

well if someone is using no vps and pulling 200gb a month (and not getting flak from mweb), I see no issue with me using a vps and pulling 100gb a month

Dude, a CPU Cooler is usually the noisiest fan in a PC, I thought you had a Corsair H50? :confused:



And what happened to the PC-Direct guy, he is also banned?
 
Did that aerovps guy pay for advertising?

Pc direct guy was the most annoying oke ever. Glad he got banned. Spamming his company in every thread possibly :eek:
