Buy Ipad for christmas or wait for Ipad 2 2011????????????

any thoughts on this? i really want the ipad like now...........but after doing some research most of the guys are saying hold on till 2011 for ipad 2 with face time............
 
anything to do with pcs or cellphones are outdated the second you've paid for them - so your options are never to buy or to get what you want now if it does now what you expect from it.

because why get the ipad 2 when the ipad 3 is going to have a faster processor, more memory but then the ipad 4, now that baby is going to be virtual screen etc etc

I'm in a similar situation though, just not 100% sure if I need an ipad and what to do with it...
 
Our company bought an Ipad and I've played with it for a week now. It's an awesome gadget and I so want to buy myself one BUT there are a couple things about the Ipad which I don't like and therefore I'm going to wait for a while to first see what the competitors bring to the market.
 
that's abit steep.......was getting or will be getting the 32gb wifi+3g for R5860 from canada.
 
The new ipad will probably come out in January.
 
That's my worry!!! Jan is 2 months away....if rumors are true they say 1st quarter 2011... What to do? What to do? Face time would be so cool on the iPad!!!!!
 
Well iOS doesn't even have a filesystem explorer.

You can actually connect some USB stuff, like keyboards, and headsets with the camera kit USB connection.
 
I was always going to wait for ipad 2. Just look at the iPhone 3G - it was great, but actually needed a faster processor and some minor tweaks. Sure the ipad is great, but the point of a 2 release is that the initial bugs/missing bits are ironed out. It's also about the fact that I don't need an ipad, but I do want one. As a result I'll wait for the next one...
 
The problem with waiting for iPad 2, will be that yes, sure it should be released in 1st QTR 2011....but you might have to wait till 3rd QTR 2011 before there is enough stock to filter down. I am sure there will be a mad rush for the next iPad, and I am sure there will be shortages, just as there have been with iPad 1 and the iPhone. You might need to fly to UK/USA and pitch a tent outside an Apple store, if you want to get one early :D
 
Apple usually releases new stuff March-April and June-July each year..

So iPad 2 definately March some time give or take..

I would say wait, unless you really cant do without the iPad.. :)
