I work for a small IT firm (all of our employee's uses 3G) that services a couple of big clients in the Johannesburg area and was really looking forward to what Cell-C is trying to accomplish. Unfortunately I have to say that we are probably going to completely abandon testing the Cell-C service and rather let our clients stay with Vodacom/MTN.

I have already send a couple of suggestions/questions to Tell Trevor without any response. I was also at Cell-C store today and after three months of advertising they have still not launched in Gauteng plus there seems to be no fixed date of when it will be available. Further more the store representatives are very unhelpful. Apparently the store in Cresta got stock of the devices but are not allowed to sell them at this stage.

Then Cell-C still wonders about why they are not pulling clients. The Tell Trevor is a good idea as it shows that they are serious about fixing everything that is wrong with Cell-C but it is one thing to show intent, but intent without action does not mean anything. Very disappointed in Cell-C again.

I do apologise for the rant but I know there is a Cell-C representative on this forum and maybe he can understand what I think a lot of peoples perception is with Cell-C. When I first saw the advert I advised so many people of this (and everybody's response was negative because it is Cell-C), but now I regret it, and I so want Cell-C to succeed because more competition is always better.

I agree with you that they should improve their CS, but then MTN doesn't even have a CS department, and VC is not great either.

Cell C have also not answered one of my queries (to Trevor, et al).

I at least have so far not had problems with VC and when ever I complained they always came back to me, even if it was to say that they can't do anything at this stage like the sometimes very bad 3G in the Braamfontein/Parktown North areas. That is all that I ask. And when ever VC advertise something it is normally available (except iPhone 4 if you are to slow)

Join the club, TellTrevor is a joke :p

Trevor cannot answer any emails because CellC don't have data connections in JHB yet. lol :p

Hi, I am having major trouble getting a Cell C 5gb data bundle on contract.. I live in Somerset West. I went to the Cell C store at the mall yesterday, they say there is no such thing. I said it is on the website. They say it must come off the website. Can you please help me? People are saying in the forums that they already have signed for this contract. I called them again today, and they think I am mad. Help

I agree, I've been telling everyone about the new Cell C data, and now I feel like an idiot.

We appreciate the time you have taken to provide us with this valuable feedback , Please provide us with your contact details and we will definitely turn your experience to a more positive one.

So I got an e-mail from Cell-C stating they want to meet me and discuss the data promotion and are so sorry that I wasn't able to come right in Somerset West. Come on Cell-C my complaint was about Gauteng and not the Western Cape. That was Mach III. Nice try at customer services :p I'm sure it will go better next time.

Now onto the next issue. So the people at Dionwired was more helpful than the Cell-C staff and I got my modem and sim card. The evaluation has started and I have to comment the following so far (I know it is not officially launched yet):
Last night in the Sandton area it was working 100% and very good with high speeds.
Braamfontein/Parktown North it is working but very irregular and very slow at times.

CellC responded!!!
Got a call at about 15H00 confirming email received & get someone working on it / call me again to get more information.
Cell_C Reap makes a difference +1

I've been seeing various ads in the newspapers offering some free coffee and a newspaper in Cell-C stores (listed). However, when I turned up, the one guy behind the counter was busy, was not serving coffee and had no newspapers. He told me to come back closer to 5pm. There were two computers in the shop for customers to look at phone spec, one of which was out of order. The other had a faulty mouse.

I looked at the peripherals, like chargers and things, but they were grossly inflated in price.

This is a newly refurbished store.

I've been past 5 times now and never seen anyone drinking coffee or reading a newspaper. I'm not that interested in the coffee, but something to keep me occupied would have been nice in a somewhat sterile environment. Also, please don't advertise if you don't want to provide.
