S1 Corporation is a leading provider of banking and payments software worldwide. We have a sizable product engineering team in Cape Town and we require an experienced systems analyst for our global product development team, to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for enhancements to our world-class, mission critical software. You will synthesize requirements and help design solutions to hard, real-world problems, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Skills:
We are looking for a professional systems analyst, who is able to work collaboratively with highly skilled technical teams, and bridge the gap between understanding business requirements and technology decisions. The role requires strong technical skills and a passion for finding the best solution.
We require the following skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience performing an analyst role in a software development environment
Sound understanding of relational databases, particularly database design
A commitment to quality and process maturity
The ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
The ability to estimate work effort required for analysis and meet deadlines
Meeting any of the following additional criteria would be a plus:
Previous experience as a software developer, or working in customer support, project management or quality assurance
EFT and / or banking industry experience
Experience:
Minimum 3 years work experience as an analyst.
Minimum requirements:
A relevant Computer Science or Information Systems degree or diploma.
Work permit requirements:
South African citizens only or Permanent residency
