My boss had a Torch with a broken speaker out of the box. The replacement is 100% though.
 
My bro's BB Torch also went in as an OBF. The optical pad would scroll left and right perfectly, but there were problems (very little to no response) on vertical movement.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that it will be 2 weeks tomorrow since it's gone in, and we're still waiting for new stock to arrive.

I was very lucky to get a decent Torch. No slide problems, no optical pad problems, nothing that bothers me at all. I only had OBF 3 times in 16 years and that was last year when I got 3 SE X1's that was all OBF's. Never before that and never after that and I do at least 3 upgrades a year.
 
I have had 2 OBF's on this phone...
and the trackpad on this one seems to be getting worse.
 
Also had 2 OBFs... First screen and then loose slider. The call/end call button cover plate on the latest one is not instilling great confidence either.
 
So far ok here too. Just wish they would hurry up with the pouches so that I can put it into daily use

Yeah, their system is really messed up. They should give you a new one on the spot, but unfortunately, I cant take my frustrations out on the poor ladies at the Vodashop because they just work there. Vodacom created the ridiculous policies. Mines only been gone for a day though.

Another thing with this phone is that it doesnt feel solid. My F700V slider makes that phone look like the screws have been loosened. I hope it doesnt give problems in the future.
 
I got my OBF yesterday. The track-pad is all messed up it just jumps around, it only works when it wants to! It freezes as well.

Anybody know how long it takes to get a new one?

I would rather want a Nokia N8 now

They replaced mine on the spot
