Another Qantas jet returned to Singapore Friday with an engine problem shortly after takeoff Friday, according to the Associated Press, citing a local TV station.

The Boeing 747 jet from Singapore to Sydney, with 431 people on board, experienced "an issue with its number 1 engine" shortly after takeoff and the captain sought priority clearance to return to Singapore, Channel News Asia reported.
