Just installed Kindle and Nook apps on my BB, must say a lot cheaper than getting an ebook reader.

I don't want to buy any more books, I already have enough to last me awhile, I just want to read the ones I already have, first ...

on my BB I was told the Kindle app is not open to users outside the USA and the Nook app refuses to load but on my WinMo 6.5 phone it works flawlessly though I cant buy books, once again because im outside the the US...

Kindle for Blackberry works flawlessly on my Bold 9700, although I view it as a gap-fill solution...

You can purchase books, download samples etc.

Try Mobipocket - it supports all the common formats, and syncs from your PC.

A lot karker too. Nice to have when you're waiting for your food at Steers though. :)

Not that bad. I read Kindle books on my BlackBerry and iPhone every day and it works great. I was also very sceptical at first but it actually works quite well.

can anyone explain how to install Kindle on your BB? When I try it says I'm not in the US

it sure tells you that its for US only but you can install the app anyway just navigate to the download link. I have read somewhere on this forum that Amazon can penalise you when you need to use your account for anything else like buying the Kindle

why not just get a kindle ?

My phone is with me all the time so I can read anywhere anytime. Can't do that with the Kindle. Many who own Kindles use their phones too. The books sync on all your devices so you can seamlessly continue reading on your phone where you left off on your Kindle.

I am probably late to this conversation... anyway my question is this. I want to get a Kindle dx, but only next year sometime. Can I buy the kindle ebooks so long untill I get it? Afterall I can get the kindle reader for my pc. There are books I need, and it would save the hassle of importing them.
