Yep, you read it right.

Pre-ordering price at BT Games R259.00, normal price after release R299.

I have queried on the server availability and still await news.

Dont flame me, i am just posting news.... and what news it is! :D
 
it means ANYBODY can buy WoW and play it. Just want to know how will the servers work....
 
I already have the game, i just need a cd key and time thingy, so this doesnt help, but the local servers will!!! Cant wait!
 
i just got some feedback and it seems the servers will be a choice of the fastest US or UK server. I am currently on WoW on the US servers. Lets see how this works out...
 
Rather odd how this addictive game is suddenly available in S.A when the cheap 30GB packages are just discontinued and pay per gig comes into play.

Well I am not stupid as you all sad lot to fall for this evil Telkom plot and will stick to playing Doom II on my PC while all you online gaming crack heads will fill up the coffers of Telkom with even more money.

So boot up BF2 every night and hear how Telkom and the ANC govt rolls in the cash while you online gaming crack heads spent your grocery/rent/car money feeding your evil addiction.

So just say NO to this and play DOOM II ;).

im a student atm so im not old and i dnt receive ne financial support frm my parents besides uni and dsl.

Just hope that blizzard managed to get telkom to allow unshaped access to their servers in the us and uk...but i think what telkom will do in the future is offer a gamers dsl, where specific games' servers will be unshaped/fast/low ping i.e WoW us/uk servers obviously at a price...

erm.... what was that, WoW to be released locally :confused: wtf anybody who is going to play the game has already bought it :rolleyes:
 
well, it just makes it easier for other people to get hold of it. you dont expect people to wait 3 or 4 weeks for a flipping CD KEY or pay for guest accounts without having the game?

see at the shelf, take it to the till, pay, install and register. much easier than the current trend aint it? heck, its just a newsflash and thats it. :P
 
Exactly FFli, but i think more will join if they advertise a bit here, i'm glad its not going to be a local server, my gaming experience on EU servers has been good, though i do have ISDN, and most of our guildies have adsl, which often suffers.
 
i got ISDN too and had to take up Nukecap after the 1st of August as latency just shot up to unplayable levels after that date... but the whole idea is to make WoW presentable to the masses so they can see that MMORPG's can be obtained at shops in SA and played with our "limited" online infrastructure...
 
Also consider that most peeps (like me ;) ) don't have a means of getting it easily from overseas. . . . . and paying for it month on month.
