MWEB unveils new 3GB ADSL pricing

nice one mweb, show the clowns at afrifail, cybersmart and web africa how its done.
 
Wouldn't personally use this as I don't have a laptop or adsl at home, but this does seem like quite a decent price.

Get an Afrihost 2GB account for R58, activate the Free GB and you have 3GB for R21 less than Mweb plus you can get the mailbox if you need it.

Have to agree with Dnigma. Even 3GB at Axxess is R57.00 so not much big news or saving from Mweb.
 
How do these guys do their pricing analysis. Surely they have to consider what the competition offers.

Just watch out - they are changing their capped accounts allowed concurrent connections. Got this e-mail yesterday from Mweb offering 5GB for the price of 3GB:

Guys this isn't aimed at us, this is for the mom's and pop's where getting free antivirus etc will be valuable. Not a bad offer as it isn't just data but a good amount of value adds as well and not hideously priced. If you want pure data rather go Axxess or Afrihost as their pricing is still superior but for granny or a real layman this will have value.
 
Well as said pricing isn't revolutionary for 3GBs but I'm sure 300 wifi minitues would allow you to download alot more (assuming you don't have to use your 3GBs with the wifi? do you?? )
