Someone asked me to post some more Bf2 screenies in the 'Just to annoy you' thread, so here you go. Only the first one is actual live game play... the rest I took on local server a few minutes ago.

These are all the 'low res' jpg versions of the screen shots. The only difference that I can really see from the png version is that the png has crisper overlay text. *shrug*

The first image is at 1024x768 -- the game had reset itself to that res for some reason, and I didn't pick it up until the other night :p

The rest are 1280x1024, game res set via command line.

I don't know if these look any better than anyone else's, but I think they look pretty cool. Quite honestly, static images don't do it justice. It's awesome to see shadows appear on your tank gun barrel as you drive under a tree for example, or shadows from a radio tower go over your chopper cockpit when you fly past.

Add:
+szx 1280 +szy 1024
to the command line for BF2 in the Windows start menu. The full command is then something like this:
"C:\games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

That way it will always run in the right resolution for your LCD.

Edit: Sorry, I see you are already setting the res via the command line. Guess this post might still be useful for others.

Now if only the single player game was fun and you could be able to fly the aircrafts.

@ Thisgeek - I can get pictures which are as pretty. :) That is if I do not mind playing with a slide show.

@ Decotey - I agree that it is sad that one cannot play some single player as well to save bandwidth.

Now if only the single player game was fun and you could be able to fly the aircrafts.

you can practice your flying skills by starting a 64 player server and hopping around the planes and choppers... just remember to reduce the spawn time to 0 or else you will dwindling your thumbs if you crash.. :D
