State holdings are to be liquidated to fund a R20 billion equity injection for Eskom's build programme, government spokesman Themba Maseko said on Thursday.

They should start by liquidating Eskom, SAA, Sentech, Broadband Infraco etc.

Well-said. And after that, they can use the money to fund an equal opportunity privately-owned and non-governmental electricity provider. Leave Eskom to clean up their own filthy mess.

um.... If the government is funding it, it's not privately-owned? How can you have both?
