DoC: We need a strong, independent ICASA

Wow, this guy really has his work cut out for him: Make ICASA useful by April, Stabilise the SABC in 6 months and LLU by Nov 2011.. What's next, take Berlin before christmas?
 
one of two things is happening:
The minister knows exactly what should have been done 5 years ago. He did his homework has seen the policy documents and pretty much saw the simple lack of political will. So he shut up as the underling, got as much of the work done waiting for an opportunity to implement what needed to be done. JZ eventually has given in and realized that service delivery in ICT is more valuable to JZs political future than the other games (cadre deployment) and kickbacks he can try playing (look at how the finance cluster is left to work) and so the good minister is called up and given the political licence to make the sector work (so long obviously as JZ mileage).

Or the minister knows what songs to sing and what houses to promise but has no intention to keep them.
 
Well, if anything this guy does seem to realize what needs to happen. Now its just a question of whether he will actually MAKE it happen.

He does seem to have his head screwed on right though, so for now I remain hopeful!
 
Seriously, this new minister dude, has no one ever made lame jokes about his surname? I mean really, with a surname like Padayachie? To me it sounds like you need to see a gynecologist if you have a Pada yachie.
 
This guy is a godsend. At last something is happening now, unlike with his two predecessors which were completely and utterly useless. ICASA needs serious reshaping and Padayachie knows it. Way to go Padaychie! Time to clean out the department!

Stop making such hilarious comments. I having trouble not bursting out in laughter while overseeing an the poor 3rd years who are writing exams.
