Cell C HSPA+ arrives in Pretoria and Johannesburg next week

Go Cell C! Think this VC and MTN must be watching this with some trepidation. I was at OR Tambo for a few hours last week between flights, and I could connect and download mails at a blistering pace
 
Finally. Bye bye Vodacom!!!!!

Cell C, please could you update the coverage map and show us what the coverage will be?
 
Come January and the price of wireless broadband will be ridiculously low across all WISP's.Mark my words.
 
Can anyone tell me where I can get a HSPA+ router and if it will work with CellC's packages. If yes, then do I get a package without the modem?
 
Sorry, but I am not impressed. This company can't even supply data bundles for their cellphone network. They are missing the boat. With more iPhones, iPads and the like out there, this is the way to go. Instead they focus on other wireless data. Even worse, their service providers can't even supply microsims. They are just SO behind the times. Their call quality is substandard too. I want nothing to do with them anymore. I am porting to Vodacom next year. Good riddance to Cell C and their poor market strategies!
 
so next week we should be able to hear it.... joburgers & petoorsies going... whooosh! :-)

I'm still deciding whether I may leave my ADSL for this. My ADSL has crappy speeds, terrible latency and costs about R800 a month if I include all the costs. But I use about 30GB a month. With Cell C I'm not sure what my speeds and latency will be like and I can get about 15GB for R750 a month. I wish Cell C had other options for those who use a bit more bandwith. Something like 20GB a month in one package. Now that would be ideal.
