Will an iPhone 4 from the USA work in SA on MTN???

Hi Guys,

MTN obviously now support the iPhone...great.
My questions are:

1. Will an iPhone 4 from the USA work in SA if the phone is unlocked?
2. ...and how would I unlock it?

Awesome...but no way of knowing whether or not it will unlock the phone? Or does it unlock it irrespective?
I read up that it voids the warranty, but how does this affect running with iTunes and future software upgrades? I would obviously back it up before doing this (assuming I get the iPhone 4).

It can be a real challenge to unlock an iPhone and an update will kill it. Try to get a factory unlocked model. You can get them in Canada, Hong Kong, European countries and South Africa.
 
you have to unlock and jailbreak it, that is if you can activate it , lost my at&t sim now i cant do anything with mine have to wait for 4.2 tho
