Two days ago I upgraded from 384 to 512. So before I informed MWEB about it I was already getting faster downloads. (Line is with Telkom, data - MWEB)
If I had kept quiet, would MWEB have caught me out? I even pay my TV license so I just had to do the right thing but I was just wondering...

Faster as in... "full" 512kbps line speeds? Are you sure you are only paying for the 384 uncapped account? Also, it is a mistake to post this here to begin with.

My bad for the mistake...we're all friends here. :p
Ja, download speeds of 54kB/s, before I told MWEB I upgraded. I was paying for the 384 uncapped but like I said I called MWEB soon after I was getting those faster speeds...and its only been 2 days now. On their system they told me I was still on their 384 product.
I didn't want to keep quiet then get banned from their network but what if I had...

If u didn't say something it's still their 'fault' and can't ban u cuz they made a mistake! Once upon a time when klear still had a decent network, my speed went from a 256k line to a 4meg line for like a month and a half! It was a period of free uncapped bliss...until their service just started to die :( and I got what I payed for

No no, I meant that you should just have shushed and not told a soul about it - ever. Plausible deniability!

I would have at least waited for the bill to arrive to see that I'm still on the 384 uncapped... and in any case, you know monopoly? You remember "Bank error in your favor, collect $200" - this would be a case like that. Their choice to bump you to 512, you never asked for it. They cannot ban you for it. Just the same as the recent telscum adsl usage bean counter 'error' - there is no way they can bill you for a fault on their side.

"Plausible deniability" My thoughts exactly.
Mods, delete thread if you wish. LoL.
So in January when I do the 4Mbit thing I'll shoosh.
*1 more whiskey , then its time to sleep*
