MWEB ADSL international traffic outage: Neotel claims it's not to blame

You both f'ed up at some point, so just accept it, build a bridge and get over it and make sure it doesn't happen.

This is starting to sound like a conspiracy.

Maybe someone has sour drapes because their peering has been cut off. ;)

Why should they both apologise if only one is to blame? If its MWEB .. apologise... If its Neotel.. same thing.

It was MWEB who made the statement after all.
 
We don't care what caused it make sure it doesn't happen again.

I was also wondering this but if you read the article then the MWEB ISP CEO did not mention cutting Neotel peering at all. Of course that would be pretty hard if most of your bandwidth came from the same source you're about to not peer with lol
 
haha told you all. Mweb was just shifting the blame. Again.
 
I find the comments here so amusing. If a service had a very good 99.9% up-time record then it still means that they could be down for about 8 hours 45 minutes a year and people should chill the hell out. 20 minutes is not going to kill anybody. If it happens once a month then it is still well within acceptable standards. The only reason anybody noticed it was because it happened during day time. Big friggen deal. Take a break, make a sandwich or something.
 
It wasn't 20min - and the day before was a couple of hours - and this also isn't the first time this year. With the seacom cable break you couldn't use the product for weeks.

Yea and before we were paying 49/gb :D

Love ya mweb *mwa*. Sure there have been some rough times and perhaps the shaping throttling can be a little annoying but cheap uncapped is superb :D.

Who you moving to rapid?
