Afternoon,
Just thought I'd post this here, and maybe get some type of reply from the technical gurus!
I recently received a PalmOne Treo 650 Smartphone, and cannot receive an MMS from another device. The settings were copied 100% from my old phone, and sending an MMS works perfectly. The problem is with receiving : the phone alerts me to the fact that I have '1 MMS Received' and shows me something is there. However, there is NOTHING displayed or downloaded! The phone 'thinks' it has downloaded and reports no errors though. I've tried receiving from 3 different phones and they all have the same problem.
I started searching on the web and find that many others around the world have the same problem on other networks, especially Vodaphone Italy and Cingular. These users also cannot recieve an MMS, but can send. The networks have investigated and are working on a solution from what I understand.
What makes it a little more complex is that MMSs sent from the Vodacom4me site ARE received perfectly! Does it use a different route or something? Can I set my Treo to use that route? What actually causes this incompatibility?
