Ok so I trying to choose between the HTC Trophy 7, Sony Erricson Xperia 10 and Nokia N8 and its not an easy choice.

So far I've got pro's on all the phones, they sort of in the same catagory yet also very different.

X10 - Great Camera, Android 2.2
Nokia - Brilliant Camera, Ovi Music store
HTC Trophy - Windows 7 phone - Which according to what I've read is a really good really nice OS

So what would be your choice? Why? Why not the others? :wtf:
And any major con's or problems with any of these phones.

So your recomendation for my is to scrap my 3 choices and go with the iPhone.
You not being very helpful now are you?
I've considered the iPhone, and yes I know its a great phone, and there almost 3 time more apps out there than Android based phones
but I just don't like Apple. Plus they tell people how to hold thier products and that just doesn't gel. I'll hold it like I want and it better dam well work.
I dunno the iPhone for me just got no appeal. Probably cause it's too popular.
Maybe I am just not cool enough for an iPhone.

X10 only has Android 2.1

Why the X10 and not the Desire HD or the Galaxy S?

Hmm..
Samsung Galaxy S got a smaller camera and I kinda like the x10 shape better.
The Desire HD hmm you know what The_unnamed you not helping here.
Ok the Desire got Android 2.2 and X10 got 2.1 but X10 got a much better camera.
Comparing the Desire to the HTC Trophy well they petty much neck in neck except for the OS
So at the end of the day I should ask which OS should I choose. windows phone 7 or android or Nokia's Symbian OS

Gonna have to agree with Unnamed here. the X10 was a good option a few months ago, now pretty much the only thing it has going for it is the camera. Galaxy S and Desire HD are better phones, so you have to pick here. do you want to buy a good phone? or a good camera? because if you want to buy a good camera, just go the whole hog and get a N8.

Some practical advice,
I got a good camera so I guess I should aim for a good phone.
the Desire's caught my eye now so maybe the x10 may get dropped from the list.the N8 well I am sorry Nokia but i still not sure about you.
Not a big samsung fan (although I got one sittin in my pocket it's the D600 yes 600,and is has served me well, but as you can see I really need a upgrade) but maybe I should give them a chance espcially with the DLNA feature.
Ok maybe I should go to cell c now and play with thier working phones (thanks trevor)

Only pity is that CellC does not have the latest HTC phones.

Phone Trevor and complain about it. :)

Nothing wrong with the X10. Its just both the Desire HD and the Galaxy S are way better than it in terms of everything except the Camera.

HTC Mozart might also work for you. Windows Phone 7 still needs some polishing, but it's an interesting OS and once Microsoft works out the kinks it might be a contender.

unfortunately last i heard it failed both MTN and Vodacom network testing.

I can promise you that Sony will stop bothering with the X10 as soon as the X12 gets released.....and that will be soon.

I've had 4 SE smartphones, I know how they operate. Still waiting for SE to fix my beloved P990i. *sniff*

Really Cell C got? No HTCs? what a shame.
I seen they had the samsungs though so at least I can play on that

/Add's Mozart on to list of phone to checks
ok so now I've a new list HTC Desire HD or Z (but i dunno if I need (QWERTY) / Galaxy S / or HTC Mozart

I would highly recommend the X10 especialy now that it will be getting an Android2.2 Custom ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835308
X10 also has great battery life, realy good Camera, and a great design, an absolute head turner, and its mod community is now making head way as you can see above so you wont have to wait for SE themselves to do anything. :)

Not sure if the X10 will officially get a Froyo (Android 2.2) update, cos it only has 384MB RAM.

If it does, it will definitely not get the Gingerbread update, which is close to being released.

kingrob
I doubt it to, but as i said, thanks to XDA-Developers it will be getting Android2.2 Froyo Custom ROM
Chances are it will get a Gingerbread custom ROM to as if im not mistaken Gingerbread is a minor update, Honeycomb will be the big one, and if you want Honeycomb rather wait for the next gen Androids then with dual-core CPUs.

The X10 is a great phone (have played with it a lot), but SE's poor support is now very well known. Just search for any thread about the X10 and you'll see the angry customer comments. They need to sort their **** out.
