I am disgusted that Cell C, Neotel and even Vodacom all have foreign major shareholders. All our money ends up going off shore. There is currently an article on Vox, an extract below:
"Vox will offer the service in partnership with Dubai-based satellite specialist, the Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat), which is owned by Mubadala, an investment arm of the Abu Dhabi government."

Come on are we that pathetic - do we have to support them. Don't we have our own expertise and capacity. I will not suppot foreign based companies. Lets go local.

Now everyone is going to start crying that Telkom is pathetic etc. Well they have been the sole supplier of all our telco needs in the past and hence they are the only party that we could complain about. We have waited for change and we are now seeing that the "new" entrants are not so perfect either AND we must give our money to their foreign owners - get stuffed !!!

I am happy with my local and stable Telkom thank you.

Whoever offers the best value for money gets my business. The owners of the business can come from Alpha Centuri for all I care. As for Telkom, they get my money only because I don't have any alternative if I want ADSL. They are a monopoly. If there was an alternative I'd ditch them in an instant.

Hmm, maybe we have a "The New Age" writer who is sitting bored at home after retrenchment :p

He spews the same gobble than someone else on the forums so i'm thinking it's that person with a different nic. ;)
