APN for iPhone - not on iPhone 120s contract anymore

As of today, I have been migrated from an iPhone 120s to a Talk 75 month-to-month contract. I have purchased a once-off 600MB data bundle, as I don't get my 250MB anymore. :)

The APN for my iPhone is : iphone.vodacom.za & I want to know if it needs to be changed to something else to be able to use the data bundle I have purchased?

I'm pretty sure it stays the same regardless of what contract/bundle you have (on Vodacom of course)

Just need to double-check, cos I think the iPhone APN is specifically for the iPhone contracts. I might be wrong....
 
Hi Kingrob...PM me your number and I will check if the Iphone APN is still active on your line. If not, I will provision it for you again.
 
You can use iphone.vodacom.za regardless of your Vodacom contract or bundle. As oc points out, just make sure you are provisioned for it.

I just put "internet" as my APN and everything is working.

The iphone APN will be automatically provisioned once the sim is in the iphone. Although the internet APN does work , Apple wants us to use the iphone APN.

:cool: When did Vodacom implement this?
When my wife got her iPhone the iPhone APN wasn't automatically provisioned, I wondered why it wasn't done when she took out the contract.

Yeah, rather just use the iPhone APN, otherwise every time you get a "carrier settings update" it will revert.

Ok, have changed my APN from internet to iphone.vodacom.za .
