Hook Up Top Tv and DStv on 2 Tv

Hi Guys i would like to know if it is possible to hook up a top tv and a dstv decoder to two tv's so i can be able to watch top tv in the bedroom and dstv in the lounge and vice versa.the current installation is in the lounge what to i need to buy in order do this.guysi need to get it done this weekend thanx in advanced
 
This is my setup.Both ttv and dstv decoders have 2 outputs-Av and rca.I've got rca of top into rca of main tv.I've got rca of dstv into scart(via an adaptor) into main tv.Av of top into av of second tv.av of dstv into an old vcr and then from rca output of vcr into rca input of second tv.You can use a booster remote to change from both locations.
 
Mine was set-up like this

Tv Room:TopTV/DSTV Decoders

1.All you have to do is run a cable to the bedroom TV, connect that cable to the RF out of the DSTV deoder .

2.Then take then take the RF out of the TopTv decoder and feed that into the RF in of the DSTV decoder.

If you have a Tv link working with the DSTV it will still work with the DSTV but to change channels with TopTV you will have to buy a remote blaster.

The Lounge can view toptv/dstv via RCA and the bedroom can view it via RF.

If you plan to connect more then 1 tv's you might need a booster and extra remote blasters
 
@tremayn.So basically you bridged the two decoders in the tv room and sent one cable to the bedroom.How does the bedroom tv know which signal its receiving?

The two decoders sent the RF signal on different frequencies? So you tune two channels on the second TV, one for TTV and the other for DSTV. Would be my guess.
 
@steven.Of course.I'd like to know what the reception will be like on a setup like this,since two frequencies on a single cable might cause interference.

How do you thinks SABC 1, 2, 3 and eTV get from your antenna to the TV on one cable. As long as they are not no adjacent frequency channels being used, you should be fine...
