It still covers 90% of the population out there with access to a portable computing solution. It is a freebie so why complain, plus Titles will become very long if you have to put in every single restriction etc. A title is there to attract interest in the article

and to promote this they're giving away 10 day of free access after which the commercial part kicks in
 
I am not sure if I missed something but is this for PC or for cellphones or both?
 
The way I read it: Skyrove never mentions "free" anywhere, it was just tacked on to the title

The ten-day free offer will allow users to experience the regular Skype Access feature which allows them to make use of their Skype Credit to access Wi-Fi at Skyrove hotspots around the country.

You don't call something affordable when its free. You call it free.

Here are the skype access conditions. Skype-to-skype calls are free. you pay for everything else
 
Works fine on Mac

It works fine on the latest version of Skype for Mac OS X as well.

Unfortunately, Skype Access is not yet available on Linux or mobile devices (coming soon, but probably not before the free period starts).
 
Maybe somebody can translate the article in English and explain what exactly is FREE, what you have to BUY and what you will need your Skype Credit for...
 
The way I read the article.

The service is usually affordable, but for the period at the end of December (22 Dec - 1 Jan) it will be free, ragardless of whether you subscribed previously or not.

The ten-day promotion of Skype Access will run from midnight on 22 December 2010 to midnight on 1 January 2011.

So, the 10 day promotion will show you how nice their service is and then after 1 Jan you can start using Skype credits to buy access to Skyrove.

Having just returned after spending a few weeks abroad (Saudi) I can say this is a great gesture from them , there is nothing as lekka as being able to contact home and skyped proved to be a very affordable option for me and my wife to see and chat to our kids. Well done to Skyrove for going out of their way , it will certainly make our visitors lives easier and stay more pleasant.

Quick question , Is here a map of the hot spots ?
