Gran Turismo 5

Has anyone got some advice on whether GT 5 is all its cracked up to be? And any advice on what steering wheel to get in order to maximise the experience. I'm quite a keen car fan and saw this review on a website I follow, seems they quite like it. http://www.driversa.co.za/2011/01/10/gran-turismo-5-the-real-driving-simulator/

Might go buy it this weekend if I get concurring opinions.
