I've got a friend who needs to chill out, but he doesn't really know how.

He is used to relaxing on booze and socialising in pubs and otherwise watching series and a little tv, he also enjoys listening to music. He is pleasantly talkative and social.

I would like to help calm him down :)

He's had a hectic time at work and lots of family events, and he'll be on holiday soon and staying at my place for a few days from mid December.

My place is very comfortable, and my daily pace very easygoing.

- mattresses on the stoep overlooking pool & garden

- I'm thinking playlists (which I'm working on), which I'll usb to his ipod and we'll play it on his ipod disco box - or whatever it is called, but it has brilliant sound - so yea really good music

- my pool is surrounded by beautiful palm trees
- so a little tropica oil for ambience

- singapore sling cocktails

- interesting conversation (just let him take the lead here, he likes to talk, I like to listen, but I mustn't be too quiet either, it unsettles him)

- humour & playfulness (but whaat ?, like do something silly to make him laugh ?)

- in the evening we can watch Star Trek on the big screen in the lounge

- later listen to music in my pad to flickering candlelight :p

Do you have any tips or ideas for chilling out, I have a complete poker kit, mat, extra chips and all, also monopoly, scrabble and oh yea- he can play some New Vegas missions too.

I want to make him laugh, I believe laughter is a great stress releaser, any tips ?

Oh my good grief, I am always tense, so I can't offer any good advice, but now I really, really want to visit you. Sounds awesome. :p

heksie got a bf :D

those are all pretty good ideas.
a bit of cave time, a bit of veg time, a bit of you time. sounds like chilling for any guy.
poker, choccies and wine/cape velvet sounds good. just be careful about the poker. you never know where that may lead...
i wouldn't worry too much about finding unusual stuff - what you're said already sounds like you're making an effort, and he'll notice that.

Thanks for the tips, I'm listening, engaging physically is par for the course, any other ideas ? Definately a nice massage, I think I should wrestle him and try and get him in a grip and see how long he struggles, I'll do this before the massage, because the wrestling will challenge his body and release stress. We've had mini wrestles before and I think I can pin him down lol (unless I start laughing, then I lose my strength and he wins)

Oh, I should go to the joke thread, and get a few !

Where do I sign up?

Pot:) I am a very tense person and the weed chills me out like nothing:D

Bro, don't do drugs, and even worse if you using them to mellow out, that's how addiction starts! I used to smoke like once a day, just to take the edge off, now it's a box a day and getting worse

I'm also tense, but massages work well (upper back, gets the blood moving around :D). Um, also, try stretching in the morning. Sounds weird, but I usually stretch, which loosens up the muscles, and helps with blood flow :), makes me feel good.

Masturbation helps with stress and tension, unless you can't get it up, then that's just frustrating.

Hmmm, I heard Yoga works, but that's just because of the stretching and shyte .

A personally recommend a good massage therapist wrathex, you guys can go together.

Vag goo, it's good for me, and it's good for you ;)

Geez, sounds like a crazy lucky guy...

I would usually say sport, booze or playing music.

Whats actually a really fun thing to do is an exotic or slightly different dinner that you make.
You get to shop for the ingredients together, have a cocktail or two, open some wine when you get home and prepare the food.

Its ultra relaxing, fun, and if it turns out a nightmare of a dish, kinda funny too.
