I am investigating getting a loan so that i can finish up some small things on my house and finally make it what i want.
I will need a loan of about 30k. Whats the best product to investigate. I am with FNB so i would really try like to keep it with them?

Personal loan? They are going to kill you on interest. Can't you instead take it on your homeloan?

Problem with that is that i just got the home loan (in feburary) so there are not really fund in the account. Is it possiable to extend your homeloan on such a small amount?

Why dont you just save up?
Unless of course its urgent maintenance work.

I wont really recommend anyone to take a personal loan, but DirectAxis will deposit R30k in your account within 24 hours with not much more than a phone call. The interest rates are high, 23% plus, you can have a look on their website. I was quite shocked to see that Absa quotes about the same for a personal loan. DirectAxess have quite a bit of admin charges too, but so does the banks. Personal loans should be last resort in my opinion. Rather wait a few months and see what you can do with your bond if you have flexi.
