Chinese officials have been working hard to ensure that the opening ceremony for the Beijing Olympics is kept secret but footage has been leaked and is now available on the World Wide Web.
According to The Age: “A employee of Korean broadcaster Seoul Broadcasting System said that one of its reporters arrived in Beijing on Monday and walked from the International Broadcast Centre into the National Olympic Stadium — known as the Bird’s Nest — and shot the footage.”
Chinese officials are apparently in a flurry to get the footage removed from sites like YouTube.
They appear to have succeeded as the message given when clicking on the footage on YouTube reads: “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by a third party.”
