Vodacom are “Calling all Journalists” to enter their competition for the Journalist of the Year but with a R100 000 grand prize I doubt they’ll have to do much calling.
Journalists will be flocking to enter this competition if only for the big carrot dangling at the end of the stick – a cash prize that could significantly help motivate the “wealth of journalistic talent in South Africa”.
Journalists from every corner of the media are welcome to apply according to the mobile operator.
“We are transmitting our signal to every corner of every newsroom, every publication, radio and television station in the country. Not even those freelancers who work from home will escape our scrutiny!”
