Is iBurst gonna suck when hard capping hits adsl?

Maybe I am ignorant but from where are iBurst sourcing their bandwidth? More specifically, is it from saix? and if so should we start biting the pillow?
 
There will be no "direct" effects when hardcapping hits ADSL, but WBS might try get clever and drop the 64k policies (as they have already done with some users)
 
Well, Saix are involved indirectly. UUNET have to get their bandwidth from SAIX at any rate, but all the pricing changes affect ADSL not the IPConnect system that UUNET use, so It shouldn't make any difference to the iBurst users.

Not 100% accurate. The SAIX divsion of Telkom sell IP bandwidth, however UUNet do not buy IP bandwidth, they buy dedicated private circuits onto which they put their own IP bandwidth. So they deal with Telkom's international wholesale div.

IPConnect is only related to ADSL, will have nothing to do with WBS's interconnection with UUNet.
 
On the other hand, iBurst might start sucking a bit more when ADSL gets hit by hard capping. Many people will be forced to leave, and that will mean more ppl on iBurst, which creates congestion on the network. So now ppl wont only have problems with Northcliff tower, but with many other more densly populated areas as well. Just a thought...
