As with most new operating systems, not everything is compatible and Apple’s new Mac OS X operating system, Snow Leopard, is no exception.

Snow Leopard Wiki Dot has compiled a list of which apps don’t run smoothly on the new Snow Leopard. The list is quite lengthy so best to visit Snow Leopard Wiki and see for yourself.
But some of the more notable apps, according to PC World, are:

Backup Bouncer, Books, Boxee, Butler, Camino, CheckPoint SecureClient, ClamXav, Cocktail, ConceptDraw Pro, DataBackup, Dave, Disc Inventory X, DiskWarrior 4.1, Electricsheep, Fallout II, Flip4Mac 2.3.0.7, Forklift, Fruit Menu, Google Gears, iStat Menus, iStumbler, Leopard Cache Cleaner, Leopard Cache Cleaner, Macromedia FreeHand MX 11.0.2, MailFX Pro, MenuMeters, Mirage, NodeToad, OneSwarm, PGP Desktop, Plex, Protector Suite, QuicKeys 4.0.3, RealVNC, Reader Notifier, Apple Server Admin 10.5.3, SmartScroll, Sonos 3.0, Sticky Windows, TinkerTool, TivoDesktop, Undercover, Vectorworks, WindowShadeX, WireTap Studio, and X-Lite.

Last week Adobe created a bit of a panic on this front by saying that they would only be supporting the current version 4 of its Creative Suite design applications for the new Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
Turns out the statement was poorly worded and Adobe merely wished to express their desire to abandon support earlier version rather than actively force users to upgrade said PC World.

Snow Leopard, will install only on Macs (and hacked PCs) running on Intel processors which means it will require Rosetta emulation to run older (early and mid-2000s) Power PC-based software, rather than Intel/Power PC-friendly universal programs.
