BusinessWeek published an interesting – though short – article on the best city for IT investment.
Although the article left me with more questions than it answered, I still found it interesting.
It listed London as the top place for IT. Admittedly, they did limit the scope to Europe, but they don’t give any more information on other cities or regions. They also lump telecommunications in with ‘IT’ – not my favourite practice.
They cite reasons such as ‘international focus, talent pool and breadth of business’ as the top reasons why it’s such a good place for investment in IT.
I would have liked to see a list, specifically to see where – if at all – Johannesburg features? Can it compete in any of these areas?
