I purchased the 60GB bundle (5GB per month) on the 20th November and the first day I began using it, I noticed that the connection would change from HSPA+ to WCDMA and my connection would drop everytime this happened. Eventually I got used to it for some odd reason because I liked the spped I was getting but this weekend really upset me!
My phone is also on cellc and I was expecting a call but nothing came through, my signal strength was on full! I tried calling and it said NO NETWORK COVERAGE and then everything I tried after that gave the same error. When I noticed my internet on the data contract wasn't working either, I changed to GSM on my phone and it worked fine. I called the customer care twice and in both instances the technical division was unable to resolve my issue.
I was really frustrated because I needed to work and this made it impossible!
I kept trying and managed to get connected a few times for 2-3minutes and then it would drop again. After spending R2999 on internet on 1 network, I had to buy a data bundle on a Vodacom sim! Now you tell me, is Cell C ever going to re-imburse me for this?? They're too busy spending money on Marketing to bother about customers.
I'm still experiencing problems with intermittent internet connections. What's the point in having a fast car that's always broken??
I live in Paulshof, Sandton.

Have you driven to another location to check if its definitely your signal. It could be your pc settings.

CELL C SPEEDSTICK FAIL!!!

It worked fine in Buccleuch, definitely not my settings. As I mentioned, the connection is intermittent and I never changed any of the settings.

I've had the same problem, it works in some areas but not at my home. I already took mine back, but I think you could get something working if you try an antenna
as has been said on here which I didn't because I don't have much time to spend on it and don't want to risk buying something that might still not work.

Did you return it to the store and did they take it back?
What really pisses me off is that it worked "ok" for the month and now I struggle to get any connection at all!
Pathetic service!

Yup they took it back, but it worked perfectly there so my location must've been the problem.
If it suddenly stops working then you need to call them, ask them if they're doing something bcos i think the 3g modem interacts
with one tower. Also they say they're still rolling out, which is good if it means better speeds&handling. Unlike neotel who I think are not going to invest in their wireless internet.

Which sounds like either signal issue or power issue,
Try putting the stick on a differant USB port.
