Red Dead Redemption wins Game of the Year award

Never heard of it.

Is this best game over all platforms?
 
Far as I'm concerned a sport game shouldn't ever even be considered for a GOTY award. Regardless of how good it is, it's only ever going to be a 1-trick pony.

Agreed.

Although I disagree with the GOTY. Having played both, my choice would have went to Mass Effect 2, with RDR coming in second. Although I guess RDR probably knicked it because it was cross-platform.
 
RDR, Me2 and Reach were my picks for top 3, im glad RDR won though, iv been waiting for a sequel to revolver for years and when RDR game out it didn't disappoint, was a mesmerizing game from start to finish... drew me in like few games ever have.
 
Of course...now our hero contemplates a return to the west...
I'm starting to miss Miss Macfarlane's sexy twang....
 
I too was leaning towards ME2, both are epic in it's story telling however. Both games are extremely different, but ME2 had a more meat, the replay factor is undeniable.
 
mmm well done to the devs for that then, i suppose i must actually play it now, been playing that game online thats it hehe, must give story a chance, maybe start that this weekend
 
No way, i have RDR, am enjoying the undead nightmare expansion pack more, IMHO battlefield bad company 2 should have one, what an online experience!
